Children who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people, where they can. They can go back to school and resume normal activities when they no longer have a high temperature and they are well enough to attend. If a child or young person has a positive COVID-19 test result they should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 3 days after the day they took the test, if they can. If after 3 days they no longer have a temperature and are well enough they can go back to school.

A huge thank you to all of the pupils who applied for the above jobs and also for your contributions for how to make it work for our school community. I was incredibly impressed by the effort that the applicants put into their applications. In the end, I offered seven people jobs instead of four as they applications were so strong and each had something different to offer. Congratulations to all of those children and I look forward to working with you.

Amber Class Year 2 What do think about the Phonics International reading books?

“They are very interesting to read because you sometimes get two books in one book. You meet different characters in each book but sometimes you meet the same characters again. I like it when I change books and meet new characters. You sometimes learn new words, like spic and span and ecstatic. I learn the meanings of new words because they are at the back of the book. My teacher helps me learn the meaning by talking about them when we read together. I have learnt the meaning of: assist, insist, ecstatic, antiseptic, hesitant.”
