How to Help

Join us!

Sign up to Classlist! https://classlist.com/ - Classlist is a great way to keep up to date with events in school and in your child's class. The PTFA are also using it as a forum to promote and organise our events, and communicate our fundraising projects with you.

Come along to our PTFA meetings- these are advertised in the school newsletter and school calendar.

Volunteer to help at an event

Let us know about a skill / ideas or any other help you can give us

Come to Our Events!

Our events are only a success if people come along. You do not have to spend lots of money, it is just great to see families coming along and having fun. The events are just as much about bringing the parents and children from school together as raising money. The more people that come, the more fun they are!

School Uniform

As an alternative to Batemans in town, the PTFA have set up an online ordering system for all new school uniform with 'My Clothing' all of which is sold at very competitive prices. A lealet explaining the service can  be picked up from the school office. As an incentive, the school also recieves a 5% cash donation towards PTFA funds from every item sold. Please visit: https://myclothing.com/ for more information and to order.

We also have a large selection of 2nd hand uniform available to buy at minimal cost. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions the school have asked us not to have second hand uniform sales. If you would like to look through the 2nd hand uniform currently available, please telephone the school office and organise a time where you can come in.

Fundraising

Its was another busy year for the PTFA until Coronavirus brought us all to a complete lockdown! Despite the unforeseen circumstances we still managed to raise a good amount of money in the 1st term, which the school and your children benefit from. This is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.

As well as running the Childrens Christmas Fair, the Christmas Raffle and the Winter Craft Fair in December we also ran the Christmas Card Fundraiser again which involed the children designing their own Christmas Cards and getting them printed up and sold to parents. This always proves to be a great success!

We organised a clothes/fabric recyling collection in July that raised a massive £600!

Sadly our other annual events: The Easter Raffle and Cake Sale, the Disco and the Sizzle all had to be cancelled until further notice.

What the money we've raised has been spent on

Over the past year money raised by the PTFA has funded playground benches; ICT suite seating; a History Mural that runs along the upper corridor; school trips; books and resources; and £200 per class to spend on whatever they choose.

Up and coming Fundraising projects:

Obviously under current restictions we have had to change the way we fundraise, and get creative quickly! Here are a list of things we have in place already:

30th Sept- Stroud Valley 2021 Calendar - Photography competition for the children to take a photo of what they like best about stroud. The photos will be used to create a unique calendar.

10th Oct- Christmas Gifts - The children will be designing Mugs, Teatowels and Eco-bags that can then be ordered.

22nd Oct- Clothes/Fabric Collection - Please save all your old clothes and fabrics to be bagged and brought to the school. The last collection raised over £600!

13th Nov- Christmas Cards - The children will be designing their Christmas cards again this year that can then be ordered.

18th Dec- Christmas Raffle - This will be a big one.... we have been grateful to the shops and companies in Stroud and will continue to source amazing prizes for a massive prize give away.
